About Delta Tavern Restaurant

Taste delicious food here in the heart of South London. We are inspired since 2002.

Delta Tavern Kitchen, an African Restaurant in the heart of South London started in the year 2002 in Peckham Rye, London which later moved to its current location at 3A, Choument Road, London, SE15 4SE.
We specialise in cooking Nigerian delicacies with a larger variety of our menu from Delta State.
Some of our traditional dishes include Owo Soup with Starch, Banga Soup with Starch, Gbagbofofo, and many more.
The brain behind all these sweet delicacies is Chief & Princess Peter Edumijeke the Orona Orona of the Uvwie Kingdom of Delta State, Nigeria.
Peter’s passion for cooking started when he joined the popular KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) as a manager to manage Brixton, Camberwell, and Old Kent Road many years ago.
Delta Tavern delicacies has served many ethnic groups including the white community amongst others.

African Food you Love

It is easy to identify Nigeria's favourites. Nigeria is a home to some of the world's most popular dishes, such as pounded yam & Egusi, Ofada rice and Ayamase, and even Jollof Rice. Although some think that Jollof Rice originated in the Senegambia region of West Africa among the Wolof people, where it is known as benachin. The mouth-watering meal has travelled throughout the sub-region because of the frequent cultural exchange that goes on there.

Delta Tavern Restaurant serves that Nigeria dishes to wet your appetite.
